INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Senior Advisor to Sakai International Patent Office
Emeritus Professor, University of Tokyo/Attorney-at-Law
We are proud to have had Professor Nobuhiro Nakayama as our Senior Advisor at Sakai International Patent Office since April 2008. He is arguably the greatest authority in Japan on intellectual property law. He helped to guide and shape the intellectual property laws of Japan as a professor of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo for many years. After his retirement, we had the privilege of opening the "Nobuhiro Nakayama Intellectual Property Law Research Institute" at our firm to provide facilities for Mr. Nakayama so that he could continue his research and so that we could receive valuable advice from him. Mr. Nakayama conducts research on the future of intellectual property as a director of the Intellectual Property Law Research Institute.
MESSAGE FROM NOBUHIRO NAKAYAMA
Since retiring from the University of Tokyo in 2008, I have been based at Sakai International Patent Office, where I have conducted research into intellectual property law. While patent prosecution itself is not necessarily my specialization, I am absolutely focused on providing the very best advice to Sakai International Patent Office in the field of intellectual property law.
